Proposed by the Florida Bar Association, David Michael Scott, Esquire [#101155] has been admitted to the Evil Esquire Bar Association as an associate member.
The Florida State Supreme Court suspended lawyer Scott for one year effective 30 days following a January 29, 2009 court order.
Scott was hired to handle an employment contract termination case. He failed to perform any work on the matter, failed communicate with the client and did not return the files to the client.
Well, perhaps the client still owed him fees for failing to do anything on the case? The law is a business after all and attorneys do have expenses to cover.
Mr. Scott neglected to reply to a letter from The Florida Bar regarding the case, he did not respond to a case filed with the Supreme Court of Florida and he failed to appear at the final hearing. Now that’s outrageous! No wonder they suspended him. How can they collect “extraordinary” bar fees is he won’t communicate with them?
David’s last known address was 8551 West Sunrise Blvd., Suite 210 in Plantation, Florida. According to our sources, he attended the University of Miami Law School and was admitted to practice in Florida in 1998.
Was the client David failed to perform work for injured as a consequence of his misconduct? If so, was restitution ordered? Or do you have to hire a lawyer to sue your lawyer?
Have there been other complaints regarding David that the Florida Bar has not acted on?

This guy is out of control. He should never be allowed to practice law again. He should be in prison before to long. He is a thief, a liar and a con-man. Beware!!!
