New Jersey. Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
On this date in the Garden State, lawyer Robert T. Gibson, Esquire [#101203] was suspended for his conviction in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania of aggravated assault, simple assault and aggravated harassment of a police officer, as well as the summary offenses of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
Mr. Gibson was suspended for a period of for one year effective August 16, 2002, the date of his temporary suspension.
Richard J. Engelhardt, Esquire appeared before the Discipline Review Board for the Office of Attorney Ethics.
Mr. Gibson appeared pro se.
Are the People of New Jersey and Pennsylvania satisfied with the discipline imposed in this case? Are their any other instances of misconduct by Mr. Gibson, the Office of Attorney Ethics refused to investigate?

This lawyer punched and spit on a female police officer after being arrested for taking part in a drunken bar brawl. Read the opinion of the PA Disciplinary Board, posted on its website for the world to see. All that stuff about regret and rehabilitating himself is nonsense. Countless people have witnessed his public drunkenness since this incident and other instances of misconduct abound. This guy thinks he can get away with anything, be he won’t escape further discipline forever. The house always wins in the end.
