Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
On this date in the Garden State, the New Jersey Attorney Discipline Review Board (the DRB) suspended Jeffrey M. Adams, Esquire [#102006] one year effective May 10, 2007 based upon the respondent’s one-year suspension in the State of New York, effective May 10, 2007, for acting recklessly with his trust account responsibilities by commingling his own funds with trust funds, negligently misappropriating clients’ trust funds and failing to maintain proper trust books and records and for improperly sharing fees with his father, a suspended attorney.
Richard J. Engelhardt, Esquire appeared before the DRB for the OAE.
Jeffrey appeared pro se. Does the fact Jeffrey appeared on his own behalf mean he had a fool for a client? Or is that a tired lawyer marketing gimmick?
Were any of Jeffrey’s clients injured as a consequence of his misconduct in this or the underlying matter? Was restitution ordered? Paid?
Have there been other instances of misconduct by Mister Adams that haven’t been addressed by the DRB?
