Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
On this date in the Garden State, the New Jersey Attorney Discipline Review Board (the DRB) suspended Thomas D. Allen, Jr., Esquire [#102008] indefinitely for knowingly disobeying an order of the Supreme Court conditionally admitting Thomas to practice (subject to abstinence from intoxicants and not practicing as a sole practitioner, except under a supervising attorney and certifying quarterly compliance with these conditions), and engaging in the practice of law while ineligible for failure to pay the annual attorney registration statement.
Thomas also made misrepresentations to the Court in certifications that he did file.
Nitza I. Blasini, Esquirette represented the New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics (the OAE) before the DRB.
Thomas failed to appear. Perhaps he had a scheduling conflict? Happy Hour?
Were any of Thomas’ clients injured as a consequence of his misconduct?
Have there been other instances of misconduct by Mister Allen that haven’t been addressed by the DRB?
