Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
The Evil Esquire Bar Association is seeking public comment regarding the misadventures of California attorney Karen Nagad, Esquirette [#102113], prior to accepting nominations for her induction into the EEBA.
Karen’s addition to our watch list was precipitated by an anynomous complaintant. According to information provided to the EEBA, Nagad is a confederate or employee of Adrian Jay Adams, Esquire [#101187], of Adams Kessler PLC, see Adrian Adams, Esquire | ADDED TO EEBA WATCHLIST, herein. According to commenters, Nadad, Adams et al stir conflict among members of HOA’s (home owners associations) in order to derive legal fees from suing other home owners or the HOA. A corollary to this alleged business development strategy is a glass company that shoots out windows in its trading area to drum up business. In this case the “shooters” and “glass company” are lawyers, licensed by the State Bar of California, which of course encourages such alleged insidious behavior by refusing to entertain the vast majority of complaints made by consumers. Caveat Emptor!

Consumers of legal services in California cannot rely on the Cal Bar to assist them in the event they become a victim of, for instance, one of the 13,529 attorneys complaints were filed against in 2008. Moreover, it is very difficult to discern whether or not a lawyer has engaged in “misconduct” or even illegal activity because the Cal Bar does not publish the complaints they “decline” to investigate. California consumers “roll the dice” every time they retain a lawyer and one out of twelve times they will make the wrong choice.
Interim Chief Trial Counsel Russell Weiner recently expressed bewilderment regarding the number of lawyers preying on consumers. “The number of attorneys using their law licenses to essentially take money from unwary but trusting consumers is astounding,” according to Weiner.
Obviously Russ has been living in a different dimension and just rejoined the human race here in reality. Each year, formal complaints are filed against 8.5 percent of California’s active lawyer population. From 2004 through 2008 the Cal Bar disciplined only 3.1 percent of the lawyers regarding whom they received complaints. During this period, only 0.8 percent of complaints received by the Cal Bar from consumers of legal services i.e., victim clients, opposing parties, etc. resulted in disciplinary action against the offending lawyer. The only conclusion we can draw from our analysis is that the California Bar is highly political– read corrupt.
For decades, California’s lawyers have been given too much latitude by the State Bar to screw consumers of legal services. The crisis Russ finds himself entwined in has been building for years. Radical left wing progressives dominate the Bar’s policy formulation and have sucessfully moved it away from its charter as an attorney regulatory body into a political instrument. They fork over tens of millions in political donations to the likes of Jerry Brown, Nancy Pelosi, SENATOR Barbara Boxer a/k/a Ma’am and too many state assembly politicos to count. In return they enact or fail to enact legislation to protect California bar members’ franchise to screw consumers. In Jerry Brown’s case he simply refuses to investigate allegations of attorney criminal acts– until the media picks up on a case.
Empty headed, former State Bar Court Judge JoAnne Earls Robbins who criticizes California bar prosecutors as “unreasonably strict” and advocates against permanent disbarment as well as numerous other California attorneys who’ve successfully lobbied against allowing victims statements to be heard and considered by the State Bar Court when dispensing discipline are the ground troops in this undeclared war against liberty, justice and the property rights of Californians. It’s Rome all over again!
While California is certainly in the bottom quartile of U.S. “attorney discipline” systems, in our opinion, no state adequately protects consumers. EvilEsq.com can help to equalize this problem. Your analogy to glass company shooters is a GREAT one!! Karen Nagad and Adrian J Adams sends demeaning, harassing letters (that serve no purpose)to residents who in return, “fight back” to management. As a result, the manager calls these evils and then AdamsKessler bills the said HOA for thousands and thousands of dollars!!!!!
Shame on you KAREN NAGAD, ESQ: You and your “boss” Adrian J Adams cannot obstruct justice in America by forcing those who are underpriviledged to “keep quiet” or “stop talking about it” because you don’t like homeowners to know what you did to some of them. The State of California is failing California consumers and homeowners again … Adrian J Adams, Esq., the Jessie James of the Southern California HOA landscaping has found perfect compliment to his morally challenged and blatantly unscrupulous “law firm” in Karen Nagad. It has been reported elsewhere that this mean and sadistic women harasses minorities and underprivileged using Adrian J Adams signature.
This group of litigants and harassers of homeowners move around the town and Southern California from HOA to HOA, steer up problem, advocate TRO’s (restraining orders) like snake oil salesman’s advocates “snake oil”, without scruples, moral or ethical boundaries. I
f the same thing was done by non-lawyers, the FRAUDSTERS will be in jail in no time. They do what they want when they want but not before they first intimidate HOA Board of Directors by treats of personal liability, which effectively disarms the Board and keep the Board standing down.
What Adrian J Adams does with Karen Nagad’s assistance can best be described as flat out racketeering, which deserves criminal investigation and prosecution.

Karen Nagad and Adrian Adams ESQ filed a temporary restraining order (TRO) against a female resident in March 2009. They accused her of posting flyers near his home and sending a threatening fax to Adrian’s office. During the court hearing, the honorable Gerald Rosenberg shook his head at both of them in COMPLETE disbelief that not ONE, but TWO officers of the court did this WITHOUT A SHRED OF EVIDENCE!! We find it quite odd that he advertises himself as the community housing expert could live in such a shack in one of the roughest neighborhoods in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles crime map. Karen Nagad is being trained by Adrian Adams ESQ as a terrorist!!
In the http://www.davis-stirling.com article, Ms. Karen Nagad writes about her views on free speech: “There is no “First Amendment right” to such behavior and persons who engage in it can be ejected from meetings and, following due process, fined. If necessary, boards can seek restraining orders.” Based on the above comment, she’s not too successful at obtaining restraining orders even with fabricated evidence.
What we find so funny is that the BULLY Karen Nagad who works for BULLY Adrian Adams ESQ writes about “other” bullies. Perhaps they think they are exempt from this rule since they have earned their ESQ designation. That means nothing to us other than that their bad behavior will be submitted to the EEBA. Dear EEBA: should we send Ms. Karen Nagad a quick email of what she thinks of her submission to the EEBA? Her parents must be proud of all her hard work since they escaped Israel.
If what you are reporting is true, as we strongly believe it is, you may wish to file a strong complaint against Karen Nagad with the California State BAR, requesting she is expeditiously reprimanded for misleading the court, fabrication of evidence and if the BAR find it appropriate Karen Nagad should be disbarred: along with the “gang leader” Adrian J Adams, Esq from Inglewood, CA.
The Rule: The California State Bar Act provides as follows:
A. HONESTY REQUIREMENT; PROHIBITION ON DECEPTION
1) “It is the duty of an attorney to do all of the following: *** (d) To employ, for the purpose of maintaining the causes confided to him or her those means only as are consistent with truth, and never to seek to mislead the judge or any judicial officer by an artifice or false statement of fact or law.” Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 6068(d).
2) “The commission of any act involving moral turpitude, dishonesty or corruption, whether the act is committed in the course of his relations as an attorney or otherwise, and whether the act is a felony or misdemeanor or not, constitutes a cause for disbarment or suspension. If the act constitutes a felony or misdemeanor, conviction thereof in a criminal proceeding is not a condition precedent to disbarment or suspension from practice therefor.” Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 6106.
3) “Every attorney is guilty of a misdemeanor who either: (a) Is guilty of any deceit or collusion, or consents to any deceit or collusion, with intent to deceive the court or any party. ….” Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 6128(a).
B. ACCOUNTING FOR MONIES RECEIVED
The Rule: Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 6128(c) provides that “Every attorney is guilty of a misdemeanor who … [w]illfully receives any money or allowance for or on account of any money which he has not laid out or become answerable for.”
C. PROHIBITION AGAINST PRESENTING CLAIM NOT WARRANTED.
The Rule: Cal. R. Prof. Conduct 3-200 provides as follows:
“A member shall not seek, accept, or continue employment if the member knows or should know that the objective of such employment is:
(A) To bring an action, conduct a defense, assert a position in litigation, or take an appeal, without probable cause and for the purpose of harassing or maliciously injuring any person; or
(B) To present a claim or defense in litigation that is not warranted under existing law, unless it can be supported by a good faith argument for an extension, modification, or reversal of such existing law.”
D. FAILING TO ACT COMPETENTLY
The Rule: Cal. R. Prof. Conduct 3-110 provides as follows:
“(A) A member shall not intentionally, recklessly, or repeatedly fail to perform legal services with competence.
(B) For purposes of this rule, “competence” in any legal service shall mean to apply the 1) diligence, 2) learning and skill, and 3) mental, emotional, and physical ability reasonably necessary for the performance of such service.
(C) If a member does not have sufficient learning and skill when the legal service is undertaken, the member may nonetheless perform such services competently by 1) associating with or, where appropriate, professionally consulting another lawyer reasonably believed to be competent, or 2) by acquiring sufficient learning and skill before performance is required.”

E. PROHIBITION AGAINST ADVISING THE VIOLATION OF LAW
The Rule: Cal. R. Prof. Conduct 3-210 provides that a member “shall not advise the violation of any law, rule, or ruling of a tribunal unless the member believes in good faith that such law, rule, or ruling is invalid. A member may take appropriate steps in good faith to test the validity of any law, rule, or ruling of a tribunal.”
F. PROHIBITION AGAINST THREATENING CRIMINAL, ADMINISTRATIVE, OR DISCIPLINARY CHARGES
The Rule: Cal. R. Prof. Conduct 5-100(A) provides that a member “shall not threaten to present criminal, administrative, or disciplinary charges to obtain an advantage in a civil dispute….”
Filing a complaint with the State Bar of California is always a good idea. In 99.2% of cases they won’t discipline the attorney but their responses are very entertaining and make for great fodder for the EEBA’s cannons. Make certain you copy Jerry Brown as certainly he won’t do anything either. One of his canned responses is to refer complainants to law enforcement. Of course Jerry as the Attorney General is California’s chief law enforcement officer but apparently he really doesn’t like that role.
One of the most prominent US bastions of corruption is State of California and her Mecca and Medina for crooks and unethical lawyers such as Karen Nagad and Adrian Adams is certainly Los Angeles. Yes, it’s Rome in its rotten days all over again!
Adrian J Adams ESQ and his terrorist Karen Nagad are straight from Hell!! If “Evil Esquire” were a magazine, they would be the perfect mascots. Adrian J Adams and Karen Nagad uninvitedly attended our Board meetings for HOMEOWNERS. Then they billed the association for their hours. Is that possible when no retainer agreement nor contract was signed?? They charged us for NOT ONE but TWO incompetent attorneys whose only purpose is to bully righteous homeowners into silence. Adrian J Adams uses Karen Nagad for outrageous tactics so Adrian Adams ESQ himself could evade any BAR investigations in the event that any complaints were filed!! The days of bullying homeowners must END. Adrian J Adams has harassed many elderly homeowners at the Marina City Club and where there were younger residents at other condominium projects, they FOUGHT back!! I have to disagree that these residents are underpriveleged. It is Adrian and Linda Adams of Inglewood that are underpriveled and Karen and Abraham who once lived (or still do) live in that shack in the Fairfax area.
Hebrew and Farsi speaking unethical lawyer KAREN NAGAD is Adrian J Adams, Esq latest tool in hand, which Adams uses skillfully as part of his stalking horse game to drum up HOA extortion business.
Karen nagad lieks it because she makes money. According to numerous reports, Karen lies very well, with smile and without remorse. Certain reports purports she propagates against First Amendment and has no problem fabricating evidence in cases filed against the association, which she and Adams caused on purpose to extort more money for Adams and his cohort.

In our complex Karen went after a Muslim family, intimidated and threatened defenseless people and caused them to move out of complex. Her atrocious LACK OF ETHICS is the most appalling!
According to MANY posted reports Karen Nagad’s vexatious methods revolve around harassmet of homeowners and bullying of ‘Certain groups ‘(immigrants, elderly, Muslims, etc) for the sole purpose of “easy making of money” in disregard of Federal and State law and CA BAR code of ethics.
