On this date, the Evil Esquire (Involuntary) Bar Association admit­ted Bruce A. Pelkey as an asso­ciate mem­ber. Pelkey was dis­barred by the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, effec­tive January 23, 2009. While, act­ing as legal coun­sel for var­i­ous busi­ness enti­ties he formed and oper­ated, with Linda Cavalli, with whom he was roman­ti­cally involved Pelkey “engaged in crim­i­nal con­duct (theft) as well as dishonesty.”

Proposed by the Florida Bar Association, David Michael Scott, Esquire has been admit­ted to the Evil Esquire Bar Association as an asso­ciate mem­ber. Scott was hired to han­dle an employ­ment con­tract ter­mi­na­tion case. He failed to per­form any work on the mat­ter, failed com­mu­ni­cate with the client and did not return the files to the client. Well, per­haps the client still owed him fees for fail­ing to do any­thing on the case? The law is a busi­ness after all and attor­neys do have expenses to cover.

Proposed by the Florida Bar Association, Giselle Ferro, Esquirette, a fam­ily law prac­ti­tioner, has been admit­ted to the Evil Esquire Bar Association as an asso­ciate mem­ber. According to the Florida Bar, Ms. Ferro failed to com­mu­ni­cate or rep­re­sent her client in a dis­so­lu­tion of mar­riage case. So? Can’t a lawyer make a buck with­out hav­ing to deal with a pesky client’s issues?
