Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
Proposed by the Florida Bar Association, John K. Renke, II, Esquire has been admitted to the Evil Esquire Bar Association as an associate member.
According to the Florida Bar, “Renke made illegal campaign contributions to his son, who was employed in his office from 1995 until he was elected to the bench in 2002. Renke also misrepresented the timing and nature of the payments he made to his son, in testimony before the Judicial Qualifications Commission.”
The Florida State Supreme Court suspended Mr. Renke suspended for 60 days, effective 30 days from a February 12, 2009 court order. Further, Renke will receive a public reprimand from The Florida Bar Board of Governors.
A public reprimand from the entire Board of Govenors? This sounds ominous. Obviously they are getting serious about cracking down on lawyers trying to undermine democracy.
Renke, who attended Wayne State University Law School, was admitted to practice in Florida in 1980. Anyone interested in reaching him to obtain advice regarding making illegal campaign contributions can contact him at the following address: 7637 Little Road in New Port Richey.
