New Jersey. Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

On this date, in the Garden State, the Supreme Court of New Jersey dis­barred lawyer Jon J. Steiger because he admit­ted that he could not suc­cess­fully defend numer­ous pend­ing charges alleg­ing the know­ing mis­ap­pro­pri­a­tion of clients’ trust funds.

Janice L. Richter rep­re­sented the Office of Attorney Ethics.

Charles J. Uliano rep­re­sented the Respondent.

Were any of Mr. Steiger’s clients injured as a con­se­quence of his actions? If so, are those who were injured sat­is­fied with the dis­ci­pline imposed in this case? Has resti­tu­tion been made?

Have there been any other instances of mis­con­duct by Mr. Steiger that haven’t been addressed by Office of Attorney Ethics?

    Mr. Jon Stieger took a $12,000.00 retainer from me, for rep­re­sen­ta­tion in a civil action.(‘2000-‘2001) I try to sign a com­plaint with the Mommouth County Prosecutor’s Office against Steiger for theft. The Prosecutor’s Office cov­ered for him and were threat­en­ing towards me. I ended up suing him and recieved a $35,000. judge­ment. If any­one knows where I can find him, I would appre­ci­ate it. He’s never been served his court papers. Thanks Patty Frost
