New Jersey. Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
On this date, in the Garden State, the Supreme Court of New Jersey disbarred lawyer Jon J. Steiger because he admitted that he could not successfully defend numerous pending charges alleging the knowing misappropriation of clients’ trust funds.
Janice L. Richter represented the Office of Attorney Ethics.
Charles J. Uliano represented the Respondent.
Were any of Mr. Steiger’s clients injured as a consequence of his actions? If so, are those who were injured satisfied with the discipline imposed in this case? Has restitution been made?
Have there been any other instances of misconduct by Mr. Steiger that haven’t been addressed by Office of Attorney Ethics?
Mr. Jon Stieger took a $12,000.00 retainer from me, for representation in a civil action.(’2000-’2001) I try to sign a complaint with the Mommouth County Prosecutor’s Office against Steiger for theft. The Prosecutor’s Office covered for him and were threatening towards me. I ended up suing him and recieved a $35,000. judgement. If anyone knows where I can find him, I would appreciate it. He’s never been served his court papers. Thanks Patty Frost
