New Jersey. Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
On this date, in the Garden State, the Supreme Court of New Jersey admonished lawyer Marc D’Arienzo for criminal possession of marijuana, less than 50 grams (N.J.S.A. 2C:35–10(a)(4)), and possession of drug paraphernalia, a water bong (N.J.S.A. 2C:36–2), for which he was granted a conditional discharge with a one-year term.
Brian D. Gillet, Esquire appeared before the Discipline Review Board for the Office of Attorney Ethics. Signor D’Arienzo appeared in pro se… the proceedings were recessed twice so he could smoke a splif with the judge (perhaps).
We certainly hope the New Jersey disciplinary authorities required Mr. D’Arienzo to reveal the identity and location of his drug supplier and turned that information over to relevant authorities.
Have there been any other instances of misconduct by Signor D’Arienzo that haven’t been addressed by Office of Attorney Ethics? Did he get his bong back?
