California. Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
On this date in the morally and financially bankrupt state the illustrious State Bar of California disbarred after suspending (interim) lawyer Perry Seth Reich, age 59, of Queens Village, New York. Perry was convicted of forging a judge’s signature and obstructing justice in 2005.
We thought liawyers are officers of the Court. Can’t they sign judge’s signatures? Really? That’s forgery. Guess Perry forgot to pay his bar tab?
In any event, he was placed on “interim suspension” by the Cal Bar after his conviction. And since forgery constitutes an act of “moral turpitude” for California liawyers they decided to summarily take away his drinking privledges at the State Bar. Given that he resides and practices law in New York Perry is certainly distraught over the “Bar’s” decision. But we’re sure he can find a wateringhole or two in New York.
Perry was admitted to the State Bar of California on December 16, 1980. He attended the State University of New York and obtained his law degree from the Hofstra School of Law.

MORE MORE MORE!! what up? so scant with info.… this is so entertaining. so what ORDER? what case? what judge? what county did he practice in? The cal bar found the “convictions” were felonies and his argument is not acknowledged, that he was entitled to a hearing as to whether the forging of a judge’s signature involved moral turpitude! PLEASE UPDATE… PERHAPS Reich can assist! he’s not working…
