MoralTurpitude

The term “moral turpitude” refers to a category of acts that are said to involve dishonesty, deceit, or a “readiness to do evil.” The list of such acts ranges from failure to heed a court order and fraud to murder. It is also used by bar overseers (particularly in California) use to obfuscate the nature of acts perpetrated by an attorney to protect the image of the profession or the illusion of the administration of justice.
